Nuevo León suspendería elecciones si empeora situación por COVID

El próximo 6 de junio está programadas las Elecciones Nuevo León 2021, esto de acuerdo a la información brindada por el Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE); sin embargo, si los contagios por coronavirus COVID-19 siguen incrementándose en dicho estado, autoridades de Salud indicaron que las votaciones podrían ser suspendidas.

La respuesta en sí. A través de su conferencia diaria sobre la actualización del COVID-19, el secretario de Salud estatal, Manuel de la O Cavazos, reconoció que si esta pandemia sigue en alza, las  target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Elecciones Nuevo León 2021, no se llevarían a cabo a mitad de año:

“Si la situación epidemiológica no mejora y se nos incrementan más los contagios, las hospitalizaciones y se satura el sistema hospitalario, claro que vamos a suspender las elecciones del 6 de junio y el Consejo de Seguridad en Salud puede tomar esa decisión para suspender o posponer las elecciones para otra fecha cuando las condiciones sanitarias sean más apropiadas.”

El funcionario reiteró la importancia que hay de una democracia en la sociedad; aunque, también señaló que el tema de la Salud es prioritario, ante el COVID-19:

“Yo sé que hay una democracia y que hay que ejercerla, que hay que elegir buenos gobernantes, que ayuden también a controlar el problema económico y de la pandemia, pero es más importante la salud. Queremos que se realicen elecciones en Nuevo León, queremos que se lleven a cabo, así que ayúdenos tomando la decisión más adecuada que es, sino hay necesidad de salir, no salgas de tu casa, quédate ahí, no permitas que se acerquen las personas a ti, no las tengas de frente.”

¿Qué se elegiría en Nuevo León?

Para las Elecciones Nuevo León 2021 los votantes elegirán cargos para gobernador, diputados (26 de Mayoría Relativa y 16 de Representación Proporcional), además de encargados de 51 Ayuntamientos.
